Vijay Varma was born on March 29, 1986, in Hyderabad, Telangana. Currently, he is 37 years old. Vijay comes from a Marwari family that made Hyderabad their home. He went to the University of Mumbai and got a degree in Commerce. Later, he pursued his passion for acting by completing his graduation at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune.
During his childhood, Vijay was introduced to the world of theatre and film. His father often took him to film sets, and he found inspiration in the performances of legendary actors like Amitabh Bachchan. Vijay’s father is involved in a handicraft business in Hyderabad, and his mother is a homemaker. While he hasn’t disclosed their names, he has two siblings – an older brother named Manoj and an elder sister named Shobha.

Vijay Varma began his cinematic journey in 2008 with the short film “Shor,” where he portrayed the character Ramesh. Over the years, he has taken on diverse roles in films like “Chittagong” (2012) as Jhunku, alongside established actors like Manoj Bajpayee, Prakash Raj, and Irrfan Khan.
In “Rangrezz” (2013), he played Pakkya with Priyanka Chopra, Jackky Bhagnani, and Raj Babbar. He then took on the role of Robin Hoodda in “Gang of Ghosts” (2014), co-starring Sharman Joshi, Mahie Gill, and Chunky Pandey.

From 2020 onwards, Vijay Varma took on the role of Bharat Tyagi/Shatrughan Tyagi in the popular series “Mirzapur” (Season 2) alongside steller celebs namely Vikrant Massey, Pankaj Tripathi, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Shweta Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Rasika Dugal, Shriya Pilgaonkar & Divyenndu amongst others. In 2021, he joined the cast of “OK Computer” as Saajan Kund, followed by roles in “Dahaad” with Sonakshi Sinha and “Kaalkoot” in 2023.
