Alia Bhatt was born on March 15, 1993, in India, into the well-known Bhatt family. Her parents are Indian film director Mahesh Bhatt and British actress Soni Razdan. Mahesh Bhatt is of Gujarati descent, while Soni Razdan has Kashmiri Pandit and British German ancestry. Alia holds British citizenship. She has an elder sister, Shaheen, and two half-siblings, Pooja and Rahul Bhatt. Notably, her paternal cousins include actor Emraan Hashmi and director Mohit Suri, and her uncle is producer Mukesh Bhatt.
