Early Life
Shreya Dhanwanthary was born on August 29, 1988, in Hyderabad, to a father who spoke Hindi and a mother who spoke Telugu. When she was just two months old, her family relocated to Dubai. Growing up, she spent her childhood in the Middle East and Delhi.
After completing her schooling, Dhanwanthary pursued a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from NIT Warangal. She graduated from there, marking an important milestone in her academic journey.
Career
In 2008, while still a third-year engineering student, Dhanwanthary participated in Femina Miss India South, where she secured the position of 1st Runner-Up. Following this, she advanced to the finals of Miss India 2008.
After her stint in Miss India, Dhanwanthary ventured into acting. She was offered roles in Telugu films like “Josh” and “Sneha Geetham.” Later, she made her Bollywood debut in the film “Why Cheat India” opposite Emraan Hashmi.
In 2019, Dhanwanthary portrayed the character of Zoya in the web series “The Family Man” on Amazon Prime Video with Priyamani, Manoj Bajpayee, Samantha Ruth Prabhu, Sharad Kelkar, Neeraj Madhav, Sharib Hashmi, Dalip Tahil, Sunny Hinduja.
In 2020, she played the role of Sucheta Dalal in the web series “Scam 1992.” with Pratik Gandhi, Chirag Vohra, Anjali Barot, Sharib Hashmi and Satish Kaushik.
In 2021, Dhanwanthary appeared in the Amazon Prime web series “Mumbai Diaries 26/11,” where she portrayed the character of Mansi. The series, directed by Nikkhil Advani and produced by Emmay Entertainment, also featured actors like Konkona Sen Sharma, Mohit Raina, Tina Desai, Natasha Bharadwaj, Mrunmayee Deshpande, Pawan Shankar, Prakash Belawadi and Riddhi Dogra.
