Career
Mohit Marwah began his journey in the film industry as an assistant director to Vikram Bhatt. He contributed to the production process of several films, including “Elaan,” “Jurm,” and “Deewane Huye Pagal.”
Following his stint as an assistant director, Mohit ventured into acting, starting with short films. He appeared in “The Audition,” produced by his sibling Akshay Marwah and directed by Karan Boolani. He also featured in another short film titled “Strangers in the Night,” produced by Karan Johar.
Mohit’s big break into mainstream cinema came when he was signed by Akshay Kumar for the feature film “Fugly,” where he starred opposite Kiara Advani. Apart from films, Mohit also dabbled in music videos. He acted in a video featuring Anmoll Mallik’s debut single “Lamhein,” a recreation of Coldplay’s hit song “Paradise.”
Additionally, Mohit appeared in various short films, including one by Y-Films, the youth division of Yash Raj Films, titled “Love Shots.” He shared the screen with renowned actors like Farida Jalal, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Nimrat Kaur, and others in this collection of short films. He also acted in “The Big Date” and later appeared in “Raag Desh.”
