Career

Before making his acting debut, Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor worked as an assistant director on Anurag Kashyap’s film “Bombay Velvet” in 2015. In 2016, Kapoor debuted as an actor in Rakesh Omprakash Mehra’s film “Mirzya.” Although it received positive reviews internationally, the film received mixed responses in India. Critics praised Kapoor’s performance alongside Saiyami Kher.

Following “Mirzya,” Kapoor starred in Vikramaditya Motwane’s “Bhavesh Joshi Superhero” in 2018. Despite receiving praise for its realism and performances, the film faced challenges at the box office but later gained a cult following on digital platforms.

In 2020, Kapoor appeared in the Netflix film “AK vs AK,” playing a fictionalized version of himself and sharing the screen with his father and sister. His cameo received acclaim from critics. In 2021, he featured in an episode of the Netflix series “Ray.”
