Ayesha Takia was born on 10th April 1986 in Bombay and grew up in a diverse cultural setting. Her father, Nishit Takia, is of Gujarati Hindu descent, while her mother, Faridah Takia, is of Anglo-Indian background. Faridah is a mix of British and Marathi heritage. Ayesha has a younger sister named Natasha. She attended St. Anthony’s Girls High School in Chembur. Her father is involved in the restaurant business.
Career
Before entering the world of acting, Ayesha Takia appeared in various commercials and began her career as a model at the age of thirteen. She gained attention through the “I am a Complan Boy! I’m a Complan Girl!” campaign and featured in the music video for Falguni Pathak’s song “Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye.” Later, she starred in Abbas–Mustan’s film “Taarzan: The Wonder Car” in 2004, marking her first leading role. Despite the movie’s financial challenges, Ayesha received praise for her glamorous appearance, earning her the Filmfare Best Female Debut Award.
In the same year, she acted in romantic comedy films like “Dil Maange More!!!” alongside Shahid Kapoor and Imtiaz Ali’s “Socha Na Tha.” Ayesha continued her journey in Bollywood with films such as “Shaadi No. 1,” “Home Delivery,” and her debut in South Indian cinema with the Telugu film “Super” in 2005.

While the former received mixed reviews, “Wanted” became a massive commercial success, marking a high point in her career.
In 2010, Ayesha starred in “Paathshaala” alongside Shahid Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla, Avika Gor, Shraddha Arya, Nana Patekar & Sushant Singh and in “Mod,” facing varied responses.
