Career
Kevichüsa started modeling in 2017 when she was 16. She has worked with fashion designers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee for various campaigns including Sabyasachi Mukherjee’s Ritz evening wear, Piaf, the International Wedding Line, White Wedding, the Bold and Beautiful, and Cerise Nuit evening clothing campaigns. She has also been one of the faces of Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif’s cosmetic line, Kay Beauty.
In addition to her modeling work, Andrea Kevichüsa has participated in various beauty pageants in Nagaland. She featured on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar’s November 2019 issue, an American monthly women’s fashion magazine. She reportedly became the first artiste from Nagaland, and possibly from the Northeast, to be featured on the cover of Filmfare magazine, appearing on the May 2022 edition alongside actor Ayushmann Khurrana.
Andrea Kevichüsa made her Bollywood debut with the social thriller Anek, starring Ayushmann Khurrana. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, she portrayed a boxer named Aido in the film, which was released on May 27, 2022. Anubhav Sinha praised her, stating that her Northeastern roots added originality to the story and that her dedication and phenomenal acting helped her embody the character well.
Andrea expressed her thoughts about her Bollywood debut, admitting that she initially felt intimidated by working with such big names in the industry. However, the supportive environment created by Ayushmann and Anubhav helped her feel comfortable and confident on set. Unlike the cold reception that some debutants receive in Bollywood, Andrea was warmly welcomed by actors such as Neena Gupta, Kriti Sanon, Bhumi Pednekar, Taapsee Pannu, Huma Qureshi, and Aditi Rao Hydari, who showed their support through Instagram posts.
In her debut film, Anek, there is a rap song sung by Sunidhi Chauhan, with lyrics and music by Shakeel Azmi and Anurag Saikia, respectively. The rap video features both Sunidhi Chauhan and Andrea, choreographed by Sneha Singh. Andrea described the experience as her first music video, noting that Sunidhi’s powerful voice made the song even more impactful and upbeat.
Andrea has also appeared in several commercial ads and shows in Tollywood. To promote her film Anek, she appeared as a guest on The Kapil Sharma Show along with her co-star Ayushmann Khurrana and director Anubhav Sinha.
