Career

Aaditi Pohankar embarked on her acting journey in theatre before transitioning to films. Her debut on the big screen was in the movie Kunasathi Kunitari. Director Nishikant Kamat discovered her talent during a Mumbai play called Time Boy, where she portrayed a seven-year-old boy. Impressed by her performance, Kamat conducted rigorous screen tests for his Marathi film “Lai Bhaari” in 2014. Eventually, she landed the role opposite Riteish Deshmukh, Sharad Kelkar, Radhika Apte, Tanvi Azmi, Uday Tikekar, Genelia D’Souza and Salman Khan.

In 2017, she ventured into Tamil cinema, starring alongside Atharvaa in “Gemini Ganeshanum Suruli Raajanum”.

Pohankar’s breakout moment came in 2020 with the Netflix web series “She”. In the series, she played the role of a police constable alongside Vijay Varma, Kishore Kumar G, Ravish Desai, Mohammad Ali Baig and Dilip Kumar Salvadi.

In 2020, she also featured in the Hindi web series “Aashram” alongside Bobby Deol, Chandan Roy Sanyal, Tushar Pandey, Darshan Kumar, Anupriya Goenka, Tridha Choudhury, Vikram Kochhar, Rupesh Kumar Charan Pahari, Anil Rastogi, Sachin Shroff, Anurita Jha, Rajeev Siddhartha, Esha Gupta, Hemant Choudhary, Mala Sinha and Adhyayan Suman.
