Tara Sutaria, born on November 19, 1995, in Mumbai, India, is a talented actress who has made a mark in the Indian film world. She grew up in a Parsi Zoroastrian family with her twin sister, Pia Sutaria. Both sisters trained in dance, including classical ballet, modern dance, and Latin American dances at renowned institutions in the United Kingdom.
From a young age, Tara showed a keen interest in singing and dancing. She began training at 7 and participated in various competitions and shows globally. Alongside her passion for performing arts, she excelled academically, attending Bai Avabai Framji Petit Girls’ High School and later pursuing Mass Media at St. Andrew’s College in Mumbai.
While studying, Tara continued her involvement in musicals and stage productions, performing solo concerts worldwide. In 2008, she became a finalist in the “Pogo Amazing Kids Awards” for her singing. After over a decade of singing at the National Centre for the Performing Arts and being a solo singer for the Stop-Gaps Cultural Academy, she ventured into video jockeying at Disney Channel India. Tara also hosted the Disney India show Big Bada Boom in 2010.
In 2011, she showcased her talent on the reality show Entertainment Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega, winning 10,000 rupees. Her performance caught the eye of industry professionals, leading to her role in the Disney India sitcom “The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir” in 2012, marking the beginning of her acting career.

Tara Sutaria began her journey in the entertainment world as a child actor in Disney India’s TV show “Big Bada Boom.” Later, she explored singing and performed in various musicals. Her entry into the big screen happened with the 2019 film “Student of the Year 2,” where she starred alongside Tiger Shroff & Ananya Panday.
In the same year i.e in 2019, Tara was initially set to play Princess Jasmine in the American fantasy film “Aladdin” but, unfortunately, things didn’t work out. Following her debut, she appeared in several Bollywood films, such as “Marjaavaan” (2019) alongside Sidharth Malhotra, Riteish Deshmukh, and Rakul Preet Singh, “Tadap” (2021), in “Heropanti 2” (2022) with Tiger Shroff, and “Ek Villain Returns” (2022) with Disha Patani.
In 2023, she was seen in “Apurva”. She has also made a mark in the music industry, lending her voice to popular songs and appearing in music videos like “Masakali 2.0” alongside Tulsi Kumar and Sachet Tandon.
