Sidharth Shukla, born on 12 December 1980 in Bombay (now Mumbai), comes from a Hindu Brahmin family. His father, Ashok Shukla, worked as a civil engineer at the Reserve Bank of India, while his mother, Rita Shukla, was a homemaker. Originally from Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, Sidharth lost his father to a lung disease during his modeling days. He has two older sisters.

Sidharth attended St. Xavier’s High School in Mumbai and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Rachana Sansad School of Interior Design. Even as a child, he was very athletic, representing his school in tennis and football. Sidharth even played against the under-19 team of the Italian football club AC Milan during their visit to Mumbai.

After completing his interior design degree, Sidharth worked in an interior designing firm for a few years. In 2004, he was the runner-up in the Gladrags Manhunt and Megamodel Contest. Sidharth gained further recognition by representing India and winning the World’s Best Model contest in Turkey in 2005, making history as the first Indian and Asian to achieve this feat. Following this success, he appeared in advertisements for brands like Bajaj Avenger, ICICI, and Digjam.

Sidharth Shukla made his acting debut in 2008 with the lead role in the television show Babul Ka Aangann Chootey Na on Sony TV. He continued his television journey with roles in shows like Jaane Pehchaane Se… Ye Ajnabbi, Love U Zindagi, and Balika Vadhu, where his portrayal of Shiv garnered widespread recognition.

In 2014, Sidharth made his Bollywood debut in the film Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, earning an award for Breakthrough Supporting Performance at the Stardust Awards.

Beyond acting, Sidharth ventured into hosting television shows, including Savdhaan India and India’s Got Talent. He also won the stunt reality show Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 7 in 2016. Sidharth’s hosting skills continued with India’s Got Talent 7, and he even appeared in a Kazakhstan movie, Business in Kazakhstan.

In 2017, he played the character Parth Bhanushali in Dil Se Dil Tak before leaving the series in December 2017. Sidharth Shukla’s journey in the entertainment industry reflects his versatility and talent.

In 2019, Sidharth Shukla took part in the reality show Bigg Boss 13, and in February 2020, he emerged as the winner. Throughout the show’s 20 weeks, Ormax Media consistently rated him as the most popular contestant. Various polls by Hindustan Times, India TV News, and The Times of India also declared him the most favorite contestant of Bigg Boss 13. Additionally, he earned the title of the most tweeted contestant of the season.

Following his victory in Bigg Boss 13, Sidharth Shukla featured in two music videos, namely “Bhula Dunga” and “Dil Ko Karaar Aaya” in 2020. He later appeared as one of the “Toofani” Seniors in the initial two weeks of Bigg Boss 14. Shukla continued his music video journey with “Shona Shona.” In January 2021, he hosted the 16th week’s “Weekend Ka Vaar” of Bigg Boss 14, temporarily filling in for Salman Khan.

Making his debut on the digital platform, Shukla portrayed Agastya Rao in the third season of the romance web series Broken But Beautiful, co-starring Sonia Rathee. The series and Shukla’s performance received positive feedback from critics, with some highlighting the fire and genuineness in his acting and the freshness in Sonia’s performance.
