Early Life

Sharvari Wagh was born into a Marathi family in 1996. Her parents, Shailesh Wagh and Namrata Wagh, have professional backgrounds in construction and architecture, respectively. She attended The Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School and later studied at Ruparel College in Mumbai. Sharvari’s maternal grandfather is Manohar Joshi, a former chief minister of Maharashtra.

Career

Sharvari Wagh began her career as an assistant director, working on notable films like “Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2,” “Bajirao Mastani,” and “Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.” She mentioned auditioning for lead roles in movies since 2014. In 2020, Wagh made her acting debut in the Amazon Prime series “The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye,” where she starred opposite Sunny Kaushal.

Following her series debut, Wagh stepped into Bollywood with “Bunty Aur Babli 2” in 2021, sharing the screen with Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Her performance in the film earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female. Hindustan Times praised her confident portrayal and screen presence.

Looking ahead, Wagh is set to appear in “Maharaja” alongside Junaid Khan and Shalini Pandey. She will also feature in the action film “Vedaa” alongside John Abraham.
