Career
Singh started his career in theatre in Delhi, where he worked with Barry John’s Theatre Action Group (TAG) for 12 years. His foray into television began with the popular Hindi TV game show “Tol Mol Ke Bol,” which aired on Zee TV. In terms of film, Singh appeared in various projects, including “Miss Beatty’s Children” in 1992 and “Hum Tum Aur Ghost” in 2010, where he portrayed Boxer Aslam.
On television, Singh’s career spanned several decades, with appearances in numerous serials and television films. He hosted “Tol Mol Ke Bol” in 1993 and played roles in series like “Rishtey – The Love Stories,” “Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii,” and “Laado 2 – Veerpur Ki Mardani.”
In 2019, Singh was part of the web series “Abhay,” marking his digital debut on Zee5. He continued his web presence with roles in series like “The Test Case” in 2017 and “Hey Prabhu!” in 2019. Tragically, Singh passed away on 20 February 2024, at the age of 59, due to a heart attack. He had been undergoing treatment for pancreatic ailments. Throughout his career, Singh left an indelible mark on the industry with his talent and dedication, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and audiences alike.
