Juhi Parmar entered Hindi television with Zee TV’s “Woh” in 1998. After a brief hiatus, she returned in the early 2000s with Sony Entertainment Television’s “Choodiyan,” playing Meghna, a caring sister who lost her mother tragically. In 2001, she appeared in the second season of “Rishtey” and ventured into Gujarati cinema with “Rangai Jaane Rangma.” She also debuted in Hindi cinema with “Madhur Milan.”
Her breakthrough came in 2002 when she landed the titular role in “Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan” opposite Hussain Kuwajerwala. Her portrayal of Kumkum garnered immense popularity, earning her the Best Actress (Critics) award at the Indian Telly Awards.
Simultaneously, she juggled multiple commitments alongside her role in “Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan.” In 2003, Parmar won the Miss Rajasthan beauty pageant. She continued to gain recognition for her role in “Kumkum,” winning hearts and accolades.
She ventured into reality television, participating in shows like “Say Shava Shava,” “Saas v/s Bahu,” and winning “Comedy Circus.” In 2011, Parmar entered the fifth season of “Bigg Boss” and emerged as the winner after 14 weeks. She made cameo appearances in shows like “Santoshi Maa” and had a substantial role in “Karmaphal Daata Shani” from 2016 to 2018.
