Gursharanjot Singh Randhawa, born on 30 August 1991 in Noorpur, Dera Baba Nanak tehsil, Gurdaspur district, Punjab, India, began his journey by participating in small shows in Gurdaspur. His performances then extended to Delhi, where he entertained at intimate gatherings and events. While residing in Delhi, Randhawa successfully completed his MBA. The rapper Bohemia bestowed upon him the nickname “Guru,” a shorter version of his full name, particularly for stage appearances.

Gursharanjot Singh Randhawa, born on 30 August 1991 in Noorpur, Dera Baba Nanak tehsil, Gurdaspur district, Punjab, India, embarked on his musical journey in December 2012 with the song “Same Girl” alongside Arjun. Initially, the song didn’t achieve significant success for both artists.

In early 2013, Randhawa released his first single, “Chhad Gayi,” on YouTube under the label of Speed Records. Financial support from his elder brother, Ramneek, facilitated the release of this song. Despite several song launches in 2013, none propelled Guru to notable heights, and 2014 didn’t bring much success either.

Things took a positive turn in 2015–2016 when his collaboration with Bohemia on the song “Patola” garnered over 368 million views on YouTube. The song received the Best Punjabi Duo award. Subsequent collaborations, like “Outfit” and “Khat” with Ikka Singh, contributed to his rising popularity.
