Adnan Sami was born in London, England, on August 15, 1971. Growing up in the United Kingdom, his father had Pakistani roots, belonging to the Pashtun community with connections to Afghanistan, while his mother hailed from Jammu, India. Adnan’s father, Arshad Sami Khan, served in the Pakistan Air Force before becoming a diplomat, eventually becoming Pakistan’s ambassador to multiple countries.

Adnan attended Rugby School in the West Midlands, UK, and later pursued a law degree (LLB) from King’s College London. He further qualified as a barrister from Lincoln’s Inn, England.

From a young age, Adnan showed a passion for music, starting piano lessons at five and composing his first piece at nine. During school vacations, he learned Indian classical music from the renowned Pandit Shivkumar Sharma.
