Konkona Sen Sharma was born on December 3, 1979. Her dad, Mukul Sharma, wrote about science, and her mom, Aparna Sen, acted in movies and directed them. She has a big sister named Kamalini Chatterjee. Sen Sharma’s grandpa on her mom’s side, Chidananda Dasgupta, loved movies, wrote about them, and helped start the Calcutta Film Society. Her grandma, Supriya Dasgupta, was related to the famous Bengali poet Jibanananda Das. Sen Sharma finished her studies at St. Stephen’s College in Delhi in 2001, getting a degree in English. She went to the Modern High School for Girls.

Konkona Sen Sharma started her acting career at a young age, appearing in the Bengali film “Indira” in 1983. She later made her debut as an adult in the Bengali film “Ek Je Aachhe Kanya” in 2001, playing a negative character.
