Leela began her film journey with her debut in 2017 in the movie “Chitrangada”, where she portrayed the younger version of Sindhu Tolani’s character. Director A. P. Arjun discovered Leela through her pictures on social media and cast her in his 2019 film, “Kiss”. Despite having contacts in Telugu cinema, Leela chose to start her career in Kannada films as she grew up in Bangalore.

Filming for “Kiss” commenced in 2017 when Leela was in the first year of her pre-university course. The film was released in 2019 and proved to be successful at the box office. Critics praised Leela for her confident debut and her stylish portrayal in the movie.

In the same year, Leela appeared in her second film, “Bharaate”, opposite Sriimurali. Critics noted her growing comfort in front of the camera and her ability to deliver what the role demanded.

In 2021, Leela made her debut in Telugu cinema with the romantic musical film “Pelli SandaD”. While the film received mixed reviews, Leela’s performance garnered appreciation from critics for her portrayal of her character.

In 2022, Leela starred in the Kannada romantic comedy “By Two Love”, where she received praise for her performance, particularly in emotional scenes.
