Career

Parvati Nair began her acting journey in 2012 with a jewellery commercial directed by V. K. Prakash. Her debut in acting happened in Prakash’s anthology film “Poppins” in the same year, where she balanced her commitments with other Malayalam films.

In “Poppins”, she played various roles, followed by portraying a traditional bride in the horror film “Yakshi – Faithfully Yours”. She started to get noticed for her acting skills and gradually moved on to bigger projects.

In 2013, Nair made her debut in the Kannada film industry with “Story Kathe”, where she portrayed a television journalist. Her performance earned her recognition as the Best Debut Actress in Kannada films at the 3rd South Indian International Movie Awards.

She also appeared as a judge in the reality show “Super Models” and featured in a music video titled “Ariyathe Ninayathe”. Her growing popularity led to her inclusion in various desirable women lists.

The year 2014 marked a breakthrough for Nair as she ventured into the Tamil film industry with two big-budget films, “Yennai Arindhaal” and “Uttama Villain”. She portrayed significant roles in both films and received praise for her performances.

Her role in “Yennai Arindhaal” opposite Ajith Kumar garnered particular attention. Subsequently, she continued to work on Tamil and Kannada films, including “Vascodigama” and “Enkitta Mothathe”.

In 2015, Nair appeared in “Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga” and “Overtake”, showcasing her versatility across different genres. She received acclaim for her performance in “Koditta Idangalai Nirappuga” directed by R. Parthiepan. Additionally, she performed stunts without a double in “Overtake”, impressing audiences and critics alike.

Continuing her successful streak, Nair worked with industry stalwarts like Mohanlal in “Neerali”. She also ventured into web series with Amazon Prime’s “Vella Raja”. Alongside her acting career, Nair collaborated with a US-based fashion brand, expanding her presence beyond the silver screen.
