Trisha, born on 4 May 1983 in Madras (now Chennai), comes from a Palakkad Iyer family. Her parents are Krishnan Iyer and Uma Iyer. She attended Sacred Heart Matriculation School in Church Park, Chennai, for her schooling and later pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at Ethiraj College for Women in Chennai.
Initially aspiring to become a criminal psychologist, Trisha entered the world of modeling and appeared in various print and television commercials. Her journey in the entertainment industry began in 1999 when she won the “Miss Salem” beauty pageant, followed by winning the Miss Chennai contest later that year.
