Tejasswi Prakash was born on June 10, 1993, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. She comes from a Marathi musical family. Her dad, Prakash Wayangankar, works in Dubai, and her mom, Neeta Wayangankar, is an engineer. They belong to a Hindu middle-class family, and Tejasswi’s zodiac sign is Gemini.

For her education, Tejasswi went to school in Mumbai. Later, she attended the University of Mumbai, where she pursued a degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Despite her talent and popularity, she prefers to keep a distance from media attention.

Tejasswi Prakash kickstarted her acting journey in 2012 with the thriller show “2612” on Life OK, where she played Rashmi Bhargava. Moving on to 2013, she took on the role of Dhara Vaishnav in Colors TV’s soap opera “Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki,” acting alongside Jay Soni.

The years 2015 to 2016 marked a significant period for her as she portrayed the lead character, Ragini Maheshwari, in the popular Colors TV drama “Swaragini – Jodein Rishton Ke Sur.” This role earned her nominations for Indian Telly Awards and Golden Petal Awards.

In 2017, she portrayed Diya Singh in Sony TV’s mystery drama “Pehredaar Piya Ki,” and after its conclusion, she reprised the role in “Rishta Likhenge Hum Naya.” In 2018, she played Uruvi in Star Plus’s mythological drama “Karn Sangini” alongside Aashim Gulati. Tejasswi Prakash continued her success in 2019, taking on the role of Mishti Khanna in the second season of Voot’s romantic drama “Silsila Badalte Rishton Ka” alongside Kunal Jaisingh and Aneri Vajani.

The year 2020 marked her reality TV debut on Colors TV’s popular show “Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 10.” Unfortunately, she had to leave the show midway due to a severe eye injury, finishing in 6th place. In 2021, she entered the reality show “Bigg Boss 15” on Colors TV and emerged as the winner after surviving for 17 weeks inside the house.

Post “Bigg Boss 15,” in February 2022, she joined Ekta Kapoor’s supernatural series “Naagin 6” as the protagonist Pratha Gujral. She played a double role, portraying both Pratha Gujral and Prathna Gujral. “Naagin 6” became the longest-running season in the franchise.

November 2022 marked Tejasswi Prakash’s Marathi debut in the romantic drama “Mann Kasturi Re” alongside Abhinay Berde. Directed by Sanket Mane, her performance earned her a nomination for Best Actress Debut at the Filmfare Marathi Awards 2022.
