Kulkarni’s journey into the entertainment industry began with modeling and dancing. While working on a small role in a docu-drama at FTII, she discovered her passion for acting upon encountering a motion picture camera for the first time. Her acting debut came with the Marathi daily soap “Ha Khel Sanchitacha” in 2006, alongside veteran actor Vikram Gokhle. The same year marked her film debut with the title role in “Gauri,” portraying an innocent girl who falls ill suddenly and receives treatment in a shepherd’s house.
She gained recognition with her role as Khushi in Ekta Kapoor’s “Kohi Apna Sa” and received critical acclaim for her performance in “Gadhvacha Lagna” in 2007. Her portrayal earned her the Best Actress award at the Zee Gaurav Puraskar and the Best Debut Actress award at the Maharashtra State Film Awards.
In the following years, Kulkarni starred in several Marathi films, including “Natarang” (2010), “Ajitha” (2012), and “Zapatlela 2” (2013). She made her Bollywood debut with “Grand Masti” in 2013. In 2014, she appeared in supporting roles in “Singham Returns” and “Rama Madhav.”
