Career
Dhulipala entered the film industry in 2016 with her debut role as Smrutika “Simi” Naidu in “Raman Raghav 2.0.” Her performance earned her critical acclaim, leading to a nomination for best supporting performance at the Director’s Fortnight at Cannes Film Festival 2016.
In 2017, she starred in “Chef” as Vinnie and appeared in “Kaalakaandi” as Tara, opposite Saif Ali Khan. Expanding her horizons, Dhulipala ventured into Telugu cinema with her role as Sameera Rao/Sameera Sheikh in “Goodachari” in 2018.
The following year, Dhulipala gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Tara, a wedding planner, in Amazon Prime’s original series “Made In Heaven.” Her performance was highly praised for its depth and empathy. In 2019, she made her debut in Malayalam cinema with “Moothon” alongside Nivin Pauly and also appeared in “The Body” alongside Emraan Hashmi.
Dhulipala continued her association with anthologies by playing Neha, a pregnant woman, in “Ghost Stories” in 2020. In 2021, she appeared in “Kurup.” In 2022, Dhulipala played Pramoda Reddy in the Hindi-Telugu bilingual film “Major” and portrayed Vaanathi in Mani Ratnam’s period film “Ponniyin Selvan: I.”
The same year, she ventured into television, starring alongside Anil Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapur in “The Night Manager.” In 2023, she reprised her role as Tara in the second season of “Made In Heaven.” Dhulipala is set to make her Hollywood debut with a role in the action thriller “Monkey Man,” written and directed by Dev Patel, slated for release in 2024. Additionally, she has an unreleased film titled “Sitara” scheduled for release.
