Career

Shraddha began her acting career in 2008 with the Telugu film “Siddu from Sikakulam.” She then quickly signed onto four more Telugu films within six months: “18, 20 Love Story, Diary, Adhineta,” and Sukumar’s “Arya 2,” which was a significant project for her.

In 2010, she ventured into Bollywood with “Lahore,” where she portrayed a Pakistani psychiatrist. Despite shooting for the film during her final college year, it released after her other projects. The film received critical acclaim for its portrayal of India-Pakistan relations.

In the same year, she appeared in three other films: “Darling,” “Maro Charitra,” and “Nagavalli.” Her roles in sequels like “Arya 2,” “Diary,” and “Nagavalli” earned her the nickname “sequel queen.”

Her second Hindi film, “Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji,” released in 2011. Over the next couple of years, she made her Kannada and Malayalam debuts with “Hosa Prema Purana” and “Dracula 2012,” respectively.

In 2014, she marked her Bengali debut with “The Royal Bengal Tiger.” Later that year, she appeared in two Hindi films: “Lucky Kabootar” and “Zid,” which gained her more attention in Bollywood. Before the release of “Zid,” she made headlines for accusing her co-star of causing her harm during filming.

Following that, she worked on several Telugu films such as “Rey,” “Bandipotu,” and “Superstar Kidnap.” In “Rey,” she played an American pop singer and stated her character was significant. In “Superstar Kidnap,” she portrayed a powerful goon, while “Bandipotu” featured her in an item number.

She also completed filming for the Bollywood movie “Chai Shai Biscuit” and worked on bilingual horror films, “Ouija” and “Haunting of Bombay Mills.” Additionally, she was cast in “Great Grand Masti.”

In later years, Shraddha appeared in critically and commercially successful films such as “Guntur Talkies,” “Garuda Vega,” “Babumoshai Bandookbaaz,” and “Badsha the Don.” In 2021, she played an Interpol officer in the Kannada film “Kotigobba 3,” which was a commercial hit.
