Sehgal stepped into the television industry with a role in the 2007 film “Delhii Heights,” though it went unnoticed. However, his breakthrough came with the role of Samrat Shergill in the popular daily soap “Miley Jab Hum Tum” (2008–2010), where he starred opposite Sanaya Irani on Star One.

In 2010, Sehgal ventured into hosting with shows like “Zara Nachke Dikha” and “Meethi Choori No 1.” He later appeared in reality shows such as “Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout” and took on supporting roles in series like “Saath Nibhaana Saathiya” and “Parichay — Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka.”

Next, he portrayed Siddharth in Star Plus’s “Mujhse Kuchh Kehti…Yeh Khamoshiyaan” opposite Mrunal Thakur from 2012 to 2013. He then played Haider Sheikh in the romantic drama “Qubool Hai” opposite Ketki Kadam until his departure in 2014. Additionally, he made an appearance in “Tumhari Paakhi.”

Following that, Sehgal landed the lead role of Somendra Singh in “Sarojini” (2015–2016) opposite Shiny Doshi. He also participated in the Box Cricket League and achieved second runner-up status with Irani in the dance reality series “Nach Baliye.”

In July 2017, Sehgal joined the cast of Star Plus’s “Love Ka Hai Intezaar” as Ayaan Mehta, alongside Preetika Rao. Then, after a three-year hiatus, he returned to the screen in 2020 as antagonist Jay Mathur in the fifth season of Ekta Kapoor’s renowned supernatural franchise “Naagin,” starring alongside Surbhi Chandna and Sharad Malhotra.
