Career
Kardashian first appeared on reality TV in the 2005 series, Filthy Rich: Cattle Drive, where she raised money for charity. Her family’s rise to prominence was significantly boosted in February 2007 when a sex tape made by her sister Kim and former boyfriend Ray J was leaked. That same year, her mother, Kris Jenner, met with Ryan Seacrest to develop a reality TV show about their family, inspired by the success of The Osbournes. The show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, debuted on October 14, 2007, on the E! network. It focused on Kardashian, her parents Kris and Bruce (now Caitlyn), and her siblings Kim, Khloé, Kendall, Kylie, and Rob. The show was successful and led to several spin-offs.
In April 2009, Kardashian and her sister Khloé announced they would star in a spin-off series, Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami, which premiered on August 16, 2009. The same year, she and her sisters made a cameo in the Season 3 premiere of 90210. Kardashian and her mother also opened children’s clothing boutiques called Smooch in Los Angeles and New York City. The show features Kardashian, her sisters Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie, and their mother Kris Jenner, along with appearances by her ex Scott Disick and her husband Travis Barker. The first season premiered on April 14, 2022, and the second season premiered on September 22, 2022. The third season premiered on May 25, 2023.
