Career
It was during his time at IIT that he discovered his passion for acting. Kumar actively participated in stage plays as the Governor of the Hindi Technology Dramatics Society, where he crossed paths with Biswapati Sarkar, Executive Creative Director and Writer at The Viral Fever (TVF).
In 2012, Kumar joined TVF after being invited by Biswapati Sarkar. He made his acting debut in the web series “Munna Jazbaati: The Q-tiya Intern” in 2013, which garnered millions of views and propelled him to fame. Since then, Kumar has appeared in numerous TVF videos, portraying various characters in popular series like “Tech Conversations With Dad,” “A Day With,” and “TVF Bachelors.”
Kumar’s breakthrough came with his roles in TVF’s “Pitchers” as Jitendra Maheshwari, “Permanent Roommates” as Prateek, and “Kota Factory” as Jeetu Bhaiya. These roles earned him widespread recognition and established him as a versatile actor.
He made his film debut with “Shuruaat Ka Interval” in 2014 and continued to expand his presence in the film industry with roles in movies like “Gone Kesh” (2019), “Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan” (2020), and “Chaman Bahaar” (2020).
In 2020, Kumar starred in the web series “Panchayat” as Abhishek Tripathi, which received critical acclaim. He also appeared in several other web series such as “ImMature,” “TVF Tripling,” and “Cheesecake.”
Continuing his success, Kumar starred in the 2022 film “Jaadugar” as Meenu Narang. He is set to appear in upcoming projects like “Dry Day” (2023) and “Lantrani” (2024).
