Gauri Pradhan started her modeling career at the age of 18 in Pune. In 1998, during her second year of BSc, she shifted to Mumbai to participate in Femina Miss India. Alongside Smriti Irani, she gained fame on television. She also appeared in various commercials for brands like Sprite, Bru, Dabur, Pond’s, Santoor, Colgate, Philips, and Breeze.

Her acting journey began with the historical tele-series “Noorjahan” in 1999. Although she hadn’t planned on becoming an actor, she accepted the lead role offered by Cinevistaas in “Noor Jahan.” Between 2000 and 2001, she featured in three music videos: Talat Aziz’s “Khubsoorat,” Hans Raj Hans’s “Jhanjar,” and Sonu Nigam’s “Yaad.”

In October 2001, Pradhan gained prominence with the tele-series “Kutumb” on Sony TV, where she portrayed the lead character of Gauri Agarwal Mittal. The show ended in 2002 but was followed by a second season. Subsequently, she appeared in “Krishna Arjun” and “Naam Gum Jayegaa.”

In 2004, she landed the lead role of Nandini Thakkar in “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” on Star Plus, which earned her several awards. The same year, she starred in “Isse Kehte Hai Golmaal Ghar” on Sahara One. She joined “Special Squad” in March 2005 as Dr. Deepika Ghosh, the Forensic Expert and Special Squad head. Pradhan made guest appearances in shows like “Rihaee” and “Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.”

In 2006, she participated in reality shows like “Nach Baliye 2” and “Jodee Kamaal Ki” alongside her husband Hiten Tejwani. She also played Kanan in “Kaisa Ye Pyar Hai.”

In May 2008, she entered the show “Left Right Left” as Captain Shona Das and later appeared on reality shows such as “Kabhi Kabhii Pyaar Kabhi Kabhii Yaar” and “Kya Aap Paanchvi Pass Se Tez Hain?”. She also co-hosted some episodes of “Nach Baliye 4” with her husband. In 2009, she did a cameo in “Kumkum – Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan” with her husband. After becoming a mother to twins, Pradhan took a break from television for five years. During this time, she pursued porcelain painting and co-owned a company called Colours On Fire.

In 2010, she and her husband opened a restro-bar named Barcode 053 in Mumbai. The same year, she appeared in “Meethi Choori No 1” on NDTV Imagine. In 2014, she returned to television with “Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi” as Falguni Harshad Parekh. From 2017 to 2018, she played Anita Sharma in “Tu Aashiqui” on Colors TV.
