Career

Dipika Kakar began her career as an air hostess in Mumbai, where she worked for three years. She transitioned into television in 2010 with her debut role as Lakshmi in “Neer Bhare Tere Naina Devi.” Following this, she appeared as Rekha Prasad in “Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo” in the same year.

From 2011 to 2017, Kakar gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Simar Bhardwaj in Colors TV’s “Sasural Simar Ka.” In 2015, she showcased her dancing skills in the celebrity dance reality show “Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 8.” Subsequently, in 2017, she participated in Star Plus’s “Nach Baliye 8” alongside Shoaib Ibrahim. Additionally, she made appearances in “Entertainment Ki Raat” during this period.

In October 2018, Dipika Kakar entered the reality show “Bigg Boss 12” as a contestant and emerged as the winner on 30 December 2018. Following her victory, she portrayed the character Sonakshi Rastogi in Star Plus’s “Kahaan Hum Kahaan Tum” from 2019 to 2020.
