Career
Digangana began her career in television in 2002 as a child artist on Sony TV’s “Kya Hadsaa Kya Haqeeqat.” She continued with supporting roles in shows like “Krishna Arjun” and “Shakuntala,” where she portrayed Rajkumari Gauri in 2009.
In 2011, she appeared in “Ruk Jaana Nahin” as Palakshi Tarachand Mathur and later in “Qubool Hai” in 2012, playing Nuzzhat Ahmed Khan. However, her breakthrough came with the lead role in StarPlus’ “Ek Veer Ki Ardaas Veera” as Veera Baldev Singh in 2012. In 2014 and 2016, Digangana showcased her sporting skills in the Indian sports reality show “Box Cricket League” for Mumbai Warriors and Mumbai Tigers, respectively.
Her foray into Bollywood commenced in 2018 with two releases, “FryDay” and “Jalebi,” both hitting the screens on October 12. She also starred alongside Govinda in “Rangeela Raja” the same year. Expanding her horizons, Digangana made her Telugu debut in 2019 with “Hippi,” portraying Amuktamalyada aka Ammu, and ventured into Tamil cinema with “Dhanusu Raasi Neyargale” as KR Vijaya.
In 2020, she returned to Telugu cinema with “Valayam” and in 2021, she appeared in the Telugu sports drama “Seetimaarr” as Akruthi. Her Hindi film “The Battle of Bhima Koregaon” opposite Arjun Rampal released in 2022. Outside of acting, Digangana has showcased her talent on YouTube, uploading devotional songs from a young age. At 14, she released her first English music video, “I’m missing you,” dedicated to her grandmother.
