Aditya Srivastava began his career as a theatre artist at Sangeet Samiti in Civil Lines, Allahabad, while he was pursuing his bachelor’s degree. In 1989, he moved to Delhi and started performing with the Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts.

He made his television debut with the series “Dera” in 1992. In 1994, he played the role of Madhumoy Sur in the episode “Kahen Kavi Kalidas” of the TV show “Byomkesh Bakshi,” which aired on DD National.
