Career

Sumbul began her acting career with small supporting roles as a child artist in shows like “Har Mushkil Ka Hal Akbar Birbal” and “Jodha Akbar” in 2014. Alongside acting, she showcased her passion for dance by participating in dance reality shows such as “India’s Dancing Superstars” in 2013 and “Hindustan Ka Big Star” in 2014.

From 2014 to 2016, she continued to portray child artist roles in TV series like “Aahat,” “Gangaa,” “Baalveer,” and “Mann Mein Vishwaas Hai.” Her journey continued with appearances in shows like “Waaris,” “Chakradhari Ajay Krishna,” “Chandragupta Maurya,” and “Ishaaron Ishaaron Mein” from 2016 to 2019.

In 2019, she made her Bollywood debut with the film “Article 15,” playing the role of Amali. The same year, she appeared in the music video for “Vaaste.”

Her breakthrough came in 2020 with the lead role in the popular Hindi TV show “Imlie” on StarPlus, where she portrayed the character of Imlie. She shared the screen with co-stars like Gashmeer Mahajani, Fahmaan Khan, and Mayuri Deshmukh.

In 2022, she participated in the game show “Ravivaar With Star Parivaar” and starred in the music video “Ishq Ho Gaya” with Fahmaan Khan. She also made headlines by being the youngest contestant to spend over 100 days in the Bigg Boss house during the Hindi season 16.

The following year, in 2023, she appeared in the game show “Entertainment Ki Raat Housefull” and featured in the music video “Sazishen.” She returned to television with the show “Kavya – Ek Jazbaa, Ek Junoon,” where she played the lead character of IAS Kavya Bansal opposite Mishkat Varma.
