Career

Sukirti Kandpal started her television career in 2007 with the Sab TV series “Jersey No. 10,” an Indian adaptation of “One Tree Hill.” She caught the attention of a creative director from Cinevistaas Limited while at a coffee shop, leading to an audition opportunity. In the same year, she also appeared in episodes of the Indian horror thriller series “Ssshhhh…Phir Koi Hai” on Star One.

In 2008, Kandpal replaced Shilpa Anand as Dr. Riddhima Gupta in the medical romantic comedy “Dill Mill Gayye.” Her tenure on the show lasted for ten months before she departed in 2009.

In 2009, she featured in the official music video of the song “Teri Yaad Mein” from Kailash Kher’s album “Chaandan Mein.”

From 2010 to 2015, Kandpal achieved significant breakthroughs in her career. In 2010, she portrayed Siddheshwari Singh in “Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo” and participated in Imagine TV’s reality show “Meethi Choori No 1.” Later that year, she played dual roles in Balaji Telefilms’ supernatural romance “Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani” as Piya Dobriyal and Princess Maithili.

In 2013, she starred in “Kaisa Ye Ishq Hai..ajab sa risk hai” on Life OK and participated in the reality show “Bigg Boss 8,” surviving for two weeks before eviction. In 2015, she portrayed Debjani Thakur, a journalist, in &TV’s “Dilli Wali Thakur Gurls,” based on Anuja Chauhan’s novel “Those Pricey Thakur Gurls.”

From 2016 onwards, Kandpal continued to expand her repertoire. She appeared in the episode “Grahan” of &TV’s “Darr Sabko Lagta Hai” and played Rajjo in Zee TV’s “Tashan-E-Ishq.” She also served as a celebrity host for the travel-centered web series “Desi Explorers” and its sub-series in Jordan and Taiwan.

In 2017, she returned to fictional TV series with season 2 of Zee TV’s “Kaala Teeka” as Naina Yug Choudhary. After a hiatus, Kandpal returned to television in July 2019 with a five-part special crime thriller titled “Chausar” as Saundarya on Star Bharat.

In November 2020, she made a comeback as the lead character, successful businesswoman Aliya Shroff, in “Story 9 Months Ki” on Sony Entertainment Television. The show, exploring choice motherhood through in vitro fertilization, garnered praise for its portrayal of a strong female character.

In 2023, she returned to acting with DD National’s “Swaraj,” a docudrama series portraying Bengal’s first woman martyr, Pritilata Waddedar. Later, in December 2023, she joined StarPlus’s “Anupamaa” as Shruti Ahuja, a photographer, opposite Gaurav Khanna.
