Career

Spandan Chaturvedi completed her first-class studies in 2015. Her cousin sister, Sparsh Khanchandani, is also an actress. Chaturvedi began her acting career in 2012 with Yash A Patnaik’s drama series “Ek Veer Ki Ardaas…Veera,” where she appeared in the first few episodes, playing the role of young Gunjan. Afterward, she appeared in several television advertisements.

She then played the role of Aarvi in Colors TV’s program “Sanskaar – Dharohar Apnon Ki.” Additionally, Chaturvedi had a cameo appearance in Disney Channel’s comedy series “The Suite Life of Karan & Kabir.” In February 2014, Chaturvedi was cast to play the daughter of Drashti Dhami’s character in Ravindra Gautam’s soap opera “Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon.” She portrayed the lead role of young Madhubala after a twenty-year leap in the show.

In August 2014, Chaturvedi took on the role of the female protagonist in filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt’s drama series “Udaan.” She portrayed Chakor, a bonded laborer by birth who faces numerous challenges at the hands of Kamal Narayan, played by Sai Bilal. Her character fights to be freed from the bonds of slavery after being mortgaged by her parents, Kasturi and Bhuvan, played by Sai Deodhar and Rajiv Kumar, respectively.

Chaturvedi gained fame and critical acclaim for her performance in the series, winning the Zee Gold Award for Best Child Actor, the Television Style Award for Most Stylish Nanhe Natkhat, and the Indian Television Academy Award for Most Promising Child Star – Female (Desh Ki Ladli/Beti). During the celebration of the 100th episode of “Udaan,” Chaturvedi injured herself when a marble table fell on her foot. She was hospitalized for at least ten days and took one and a half months to recover.

In February 2015, Chaturvedi appeared as a guest in K9 Productions’ comedy series “Comedy Nights with Kapil” on Colors TV. In April 2015, she appeared in the print campaign of GR8! Television Magazine, where she was featured on the cover along with Gautam Gulati, with the hashtag “BeWithBeti.”
