Sohum Shah hails from Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan. Initially, he ventured into the real estate business before transitioning to Mumbai to pursue a career in filmmaking. In Mumbai, he founded his production company, Recyclewala Films, with a focus on creating content-driven cinema.

His journey in the film industry began with “Baabarr” in 2009, where he portrayed the character of Baabarr Qureshi. However, his breakthrough came with the critically acclaimed “Ship of Theseus” in 2013, where he not only acted but also produced the film. This movie earned him a National Award for Best Producer.

Following this success, he took on diverse roles in films like “Talvar” (2015), where he played ACP Vedant Mishra, and “Simran” (2017), in which he portrayed Sameer Mehta.
