However, their marriage faced difficulties, leading Shweta to file for divorce in 2007 after nine years. She spoke about a troubled relationship marked by Raja’s struggles with alcoholism and domestic violence. Shweta shared instances of daily physical abuse and Raja’s inappropriate behavior on the sets of her shows.

In 2013, Shweta Tiwari married actor Abhinav Kohli after three years of dating. Their son, Reyansh Kohli, was born on 27th November 2016. However, reports of issues in their marriage surfaced in 2017. The situation escalated in August 2019 when Shweta filed a complaint of domestic violence against Kohli, accusing him of harassment towards her and her daughter. Kohli was taken into police custody.
