She was crowned Femina Miss India International 2003, which led to her representing India in the Miss International pageant the same year. She finished as the first runner-up at Miss International 2003 in Tokyo, Japan. During this period, she also had the opportunity to meet the Prince of Wales during his official tour of India in 2003. Following her success in pageantry, she became an active model, appearing in numerous shows for various modeling companies. She was recognized as one of the “50 Most Desirable Women” by the Times of India in 2011 and 2012.
Nagrani enjoyed success as a television presenter, both in India and the UK. Early in her career, she hosted “Popcorn” on Zoom TV and appeared as a guest presenter for the Christmas special episode of “Indian Idol.” In 2007, she entered the general entertainment channels (GECs) with “The Great Indian Laughter Challenge” on STAR One. She hosted the IIFA Awards in Dubai for Star Plus in 2007 and the GIIMA in Malaysia for Sony TV.
She also hosted “Mr. and Ms. TV” on Sony and “Salaam-e-Ishq,” a couple-based reality show on Star One. Her other hosting roles included “Filmy Cocktail” and “Dumdar Hits.” In 2009, she competed on “Khatron Ke Khiladi” on Colors TV. In 2011, she participated as a celebrity contestant on the fifth season of “Bigg Boss,” the Indian version of “Big Brother.”
Nagrani has been an active host for cricket shows since 2006, starting with the Champions Trophy. She hosted the 2007 Cricket World Cup for Indian viewers and in 2008, she hosted “Extraaa Innings T20,” a show highlighting cricket action. In 2009, she worked for ESPN and Star Cricket, hosting “Stumped” alongside Wasim Akram, which showcased highlights of the 2009 ICC World Twenty20. In 2010, she hosted another T20 World Cup analysis program with co-presenters Cyrus Broacha and Wasim Akram on ESPN-Star Sports. Her successful work with ESPN led to her being signed by ITV in 2011 to co-host their IPL coverage alongside Matt Smith. She has since hosted the IPL for four consecutive seasons, making her mark on UK television.
In addition to her television career, Nagrani has appeared in Hindi films, predominantly in supporting roles. She was initially set to debut with the 2005 film “Zeher” with Emraan Hashmi, but had to withdraw due to pre-production delays. She has had cameo roles in “Dil Bole Hadippa!” and “Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.”
