Sharad Malhotra, a well-known Indian television actor, is admired for his charm and exceptional acting abilities. Born on January 9, 1983, in Mumbai and raised in Kolkata, West Bengal, India, Sharad comes from a middle-class background. His supportive family includes his parents and an elder sister named Reema Pahwa. Sharad’s interest in acting sparked at a young age, leading him to participate in various school plays and dramas.

After completing his schooling at St. Xavier’s Collegiate School, Kolkata, Sharad pursued a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with Honours from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata. While he initially ventured into modeling and even won the title of ‘Face of the Year-Kolkata’ in 2003 at the age of 20, Sharad soon discovered his true passion for acting and decided to pursue it wholeheartedly.

Career

After coming to Mumbai, Sharad Malhotra attended acting workshops and ventured into modeling. He gained recognition as the first male model for a jewelry campaign. Sharad’s acting journey began in 2004 with India’s Best Cinestars Ki Khoj, and he made his debut in Princess Dollie Aur Uska Magic Bag the same year. He also had a cameo in Kabhie To Nazar Milao.

In 2006, Sharad landed his first major role in Banoo Main Teri Dulhan, playing Sagar opposite Divyanka Tripathi. The show was a success and ended in 2009. In 2008, he participated in the dance reality show Yeh hai Jalwa. Following Banu Main Teri Dulhan, Sharad took a break from TV to attend the New York Film Academy in 2009.

He returned to acting in 2014, achieving breakthrough success as Maharana Pratap in Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap. Sharad also captained Kolkata Baabu Moshayes in Box Cricket League season 2. In 2016, he played the lead role of Rishi in Kasam Tere Pyaar Ki and appeared in two Hindi films.

From 2018 to 2020, Sharad portrayed Raunak Singh in Star Bharat’s Muskaan. In 2020, he joined the cast of Naagin 5 as Veeranshu Singhania. In 2021, Sharad featured in music videos like Bepanah Pyar and Beypanah Ishq.
