Tandon came into the world in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, on 3 November 1984. Her family later moved to Ujjain, where she attended St. Mary’s Convent School for her schooling. Her father, B.G. Tandon, is not only a writer but also served as a professor at a university in Ujjain.

Career

Tandon began her career by doing modeling work and was the “Femina Cover Girl First Runner Up” in 2006. She also acted in an Afghan TV show called Khushi in 2008, where she played the main role of an Afghan woman doctor. Later on, she co-hosted a show called Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout with Shah Rukh Khan in 2011 and received the Best Anchor award for hosting Dance India Dance for three seasons.

She also co-hosted the Bournvita Quiz Contest for three seasons alongside Derek O’Brien. In the movie Jab We Met, she played the role of Kareena’s character’s sister. In 2015, Tandon joined the cast of the comedy serial Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain! as Anita, also known as “gori mem” in the show. In 2018, she hosted Season 2 of Entertainment Ki Raat on Colors TV. On August 21, 2020, she decided to leave Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hain!.
