Career

Soni began his acting journey with his debut in the Hindi serial “Samandar.” In 1996, he portrayed the character Ashok Mathur in Doordarshan’s “A Mouthful Of Sky.” His entry into films happened with “China Gate” in 1998, marking the beginning of his cinematic career. Following this, he made cameo appearances in various films.

In 2003, Soni garnered attention with his role in the film “Baghban” and took on lead roles in “Basti” and “Kahan Ho Tum.” The same year, he ventured into television with the series “Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin.” His television journey continued in 2004 with “Saaksshi.” Soni’s presence expanded to reality television when he appeared as a contestant on “Bigg Boss 4” in 2010.

His career reached new heights in 2013 when he played the lead role in Ekta Kapoor’s soap opera “Parichay – Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka.” This role earned him accolades, including the Indian Telly Award for Best Actor and the ITA Award for Best Actor – Drama (Popular) in 2012. In 2018, Soni ventured into filmmaking, making his directorial debut with “My Birthday Song,” featuring Sanjay Suri.
