Samantha embarked on her film career with the Telugu movie “Ye Maaya Chesave” in 2010. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the film received positive reviews, especially for Samantha’s portrayal of the lead character, Jessie. This marked her debut in both Telugu and Tamil cinema, as the film was simultaneously made in Tamil as “Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa.” Her performance earned her critical acclaim and several awards.

Following her debut, Samantha appeared in various Tamil and Telugu films, including “Baana Kaathadi” and “Moscowin Kavery.” Despite some setbacks, she continued to gain recognition for her acting skills.
