Career

Khan began his career as a TV show host with “Main Bhi Detective” in 1995. He later hosted the music countdown show “Ikke Pe Ikka” in 1996, which set a record as the longest-running countdown show on Indian television with the same host.

From 1997 to 2001, he played triple roles in “Kehne Mein Kya Harz Hai,” a show that ran for 200 episodes. In the late 1990s, he ventured into stand-up comedy with “Sajid No. 1” and hosted “Super Sale” in 2005. In 2008, he hosted the talk show “Sajid’s Superstars” and served as a judge on India’s Got Talent season 2.

He also judged “Nach Baliye” seasons 5 and 6 alongside Terrence Lewis and Shilpa Shetty from 2012 to 2014. Khan began his directorial career with “Darna Zaroori Hai” in 2006, followed by “Heyy Babyy” in 2007, and “Housefull” in 2010. Despite initial success, his later directorial ventures, “Himmatwala” (2013) and “Humshakals” (2014), faced criticism and box office failure.

As an actor, he appeared in films like “Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate” (1998), and made brief appearances in “Main Hoon Na” (2004), “Mujhse Shaadi Karogi” (2004), and “Happy New Year” (2014). In 2022, he participated in the reality show “Bigg Boss 16” on Colors TV, leaving on day 106 due to professional commitments.
