Career

In 1992, Rukhsar Rehman made her film debut with “Yaad Rakhegi Duniya” opposite Aditya Pancholi when she was just 17 years old and in the ninth grade. That same year, she appeared in J.K. Bihari’s film “Inteha Pyar Ki” opposite Rishi Kapoor. After a break from the industry, she was offered a role in Ram Gopal Verma’s film “Sarkar” in 2005, which she accepted eagerly due to the chance to work alongside Amitabh Bachchan. Her return to the big screen also included the crime drama film “D,” where she played Bhakti Bhatnagar, Randeep Hooda’s girlfriend.

In 2008, Rukhsar appeared in the comedy film “God Tussi Great Ho,” directed by Rumi Jaffery. The following year, she starred in the crime thriller “The Stoneman Murders.” From 2010 to 2011, she took on supporting roles in several films including “Benny and Babloo” (2010), “Knock Out” (2010), “Allah Ke Banday” (2010), “Shaitan” (2011), and “Bheja Fry 2” (2011). In 2014, she was featured in the film “PK,” directed by Rajkumar Hirani.
