Career

Ritu Rathee Taneja always dreamed of being a pilot since she was a child. She worked really hard and never gave up on her dream, even though some of her relatives thought she should get married instead of studying. But she didn’t listen to them. Instead, she convinced her father to use the money he had saved for her wedding to send her to the United States for pilot training.

In the U.S., she trained really hard, faced challenges, and broke societal norms. Even though the training was tough on her finances, Ritu’s passion helped her finish it, and she returned to India.

Back in India, Ritu faced a difficult situation in the aviation industry, which was struggling. She also experienced a personal loss when her mother passed away from a brain stroke. Despite these challenges, Ritu didn’t lose hope. She worked part-time, studied diligently, and eventually landed a job as a co-pilot with a well-known Indian airline.

Ritu’s career took off as she flew around 60 flights a month. Through her dedication, she climbed the ranks and became a Captain. Her love for flying, the thrill of challenges, and the unpredictability of each flight shaped her professional journey.

In 2022, Ritu Rathee Taneja made her television debut on StarPlus’ reality show ‘Smart Jodi.’ The show featured real-life celebrity couples testing how well they knew each other in a fun game format.
