Early Life

Riteish Deshmukh was born on December 17, 1978, in Mumbai. His father, Vilasrao Deshmukh, served as the chief minister of Maharashtra and was a Union Minister of Heavy Industries & Public Enterprises in India. Riteish’s mother is Vaishali Deshmukh. He has two brothers – Amit Deshmukh, who is an MLA from Latur City, and Dhiraj Deshmukh, who is an MLA from Latur Rural. Riteish also has two sisters-in-law – Aditi Deshmukh, an actress, and Deepshikha Deshmukh, a film producer.

Riteish attended G. D. Somani Memorial School and later pursued a degree in architecture from Kamla Raheja College of Architecture in Mumbai. After completing his studies, he worked with an overseas architectural firm for a year. Upon returning to India, Riteish continued his career in design. He is a co-owner of Evolutions, a firm based in India that specializes in architectural and interior design.

Despite facing criticism for his role in the comic thriller “Masti,” the movie did well at the box office, and Riteish gained recognition. His popularity grew with films like “Malamaal Weekly,” “Apna Sapna Money Money,” and “Heyy Babyy.”

Over the years, Riteish continued to showcase his versatility with roles in various genres. He appeared in successful films like “Dhamaal,” “Namastey London,” and “Housefull.” In 2012, he starred in “Housefull 2,” marking one of his biggest successes.
