Career
In 2005, Cassandra made her film debut with the Tamil film Kanda Naal Mudhal alongside Karthik Kumar. She followed this with the 2006 film Azhagiya Asura.
In 2010, she played the lead in the Kannada film Suryakaanti alongside Chetan Kumar. Despite not speaking Kannada, she impressed in her role, earning praise for her performance. After taking a break to graduate in psychology, Cassandra appeared in several short films, including Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi.
Her Telugu debut came with Shiva Manasulo Shruti opposite Sudheer Babu, where she received acclaim for her performance and won the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Telugu.
In 2013, she had two releases, Kedi Billa Killadi Ranga and Nirnayam, both of which garnered attention. Cassandra had a successful run in 2014 with four releases, including Kotha Janta, Ra Ra… Krishnayya, Power, and Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitam. In 2018, she delivered noteworthy performances in Awe and Mr. Chandramouli, both of which received critical acclaim. In 2019, Cassandra made her Hindi film debut with Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, followed by notable roles in 7 and Evaru, earning her critical acclaim.
Throughout 2021, Cassandra appeared in multiple films and web series, showcasing her versatility and talent across different genres. In 2022, she continued to expand her repertoire with roles in films like 1945, web series like Rocket Boys, and a special number in Chiranjeevi’s Acharya.
