Career

Dwivedi kicked off her acting career in 2009 with the Kannada film “Veera Madakari,” a remake of the Telugu movie “Vikramarkudu.” She starred opposite Sudeep, and the film turned out to be a big hit. The same year, she also appeared briefly in the film “Gokula.” In 2010, Dwivedi was part of five films, including her Malayalam debut, “Kandhahar.”

Her breakthrough came in 2011 with the action film “Kempegowda,” where she starred alongside Sudeep. This role earned her a nomination at the South Filmfare Awards for Best Female Leading Actress. She also appeared in comedic films like “Kalla Malla Sulla” and “Kaanchaana,” with the song “Thuppa Beku Thuppa” from the former becoming a huge hit.

The following year, in 2012, Dwivedi starred alongside top male actors in Kannada cinema. She appeared with Upendra in “Aarakshaka” and with Shivarajkumar in “Shiva,” winning the Best Actress award in the critics’ category for her performance in the latter. She also starred in “Villain” and made a special appearance in the Malayalam film “Face2Face” alongside Mammootty. Additionally, she made cameo appearances in “Victory” and Prabhu Deva’s Hindi film “R… Rajkumar.”

In 2014, Dwivedi appeared in the bilingual film “Nimirndhu Nil” in Tamil and “Janda Pai Kapiraju” in Telugu. This was followed by the release of “Ragini IPS,” where she portrayed a police officer named Ragini.

Despite mixed reviews, her performance earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She then starred in “Namaste Madam,” a remake of a Telugu film, where she played a seductive role as the chairperson of a multinational corporation, receiving positive reviews from critics. In 2015, she appeared in “Shivam” in another glamorous role as a femme fatale alongside Upendra.
