Career

The actress made her debut in 2000 with the film “Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar,” where she played the role of Ramabai Ambedkar as a child artist. She is well-known for her roles in the films “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.” and “Lage Raho Munna Bhai.” Her performance in the movies “Kaksparsh” and “Timepass 2” received positive reviews from critics. Additionally, she appeared in several television serials such as “Shubham Karoti,” “Vicky Ki Taxi,” and “Aabhalmaya.”

In 2009, she played the role of Shashikala Bhosale in “Me Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy.” She has also acted in other films like “Andhali Koshimbir,” “Happy Journey,” “Vazandar,” and “Time Please.” Recently, she portrayed the lead role of Pournima Rao Gaikwad in the series “Mayanagari – City of Dreams.” The actress has teamed up with her elder sister, Shweta Bapat, a costume designer, to support the Indian weaver community through their clothing venture “Sawenchi.”

Throughout her career, she has been part of various films, starting with “Bhet” in 2002 as a child artist. In 2003, she made her Hindi cinema debut with “Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.,” playing the role of Meenal. She had a cameo in “Lage Raho Munna Bhai” in 2006. In 2008, she appeared in “Mi Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy.” Her role as Uma in “Kaksparsh” in 2012 earned her multiple awards.

In 2014, she starred in “Happy Journey” as Janaki and in “Time Please” as Amruta Sane. She also played roles in “Aandhali Koshimbir” and “Lokmanya: Ek Yug Purush.” Her 2015 film “Timepass 2” saw her as Prajakta Lele. She continued her film career with notable performances in “Vazandar” (2016), “Gachchi” (2017), and “Pimpal” (2017). In 2018, she appeared in “Aamhi Doghi” and had a cameo in “Gulabjaam.”
