Payal Rohatgi began her career in the entertainment industry by participating in the Femina Miss India pageant. She later represented India in the Miss Tourism World pageant and won the title of Supermodel Miss Tourism World.
She gained recognition as a model, endorsing brands like Amul, Nirma, Nescafe, and Dabur Hair Oil. Rohatgi’s popularity soared after appearing in a television commercial for Cadbury’s Temptations Chocolates. She also featured in music videos by Silk Route and Indipop artist KK.
In 2002, Rohatgi made her acting debut in the film “Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai?” followed by a role in “36 China Town” in 2006. She was offered an item song in Madhur Bhandarkar’s film “Corporate” the same year. She also made cameo appearances in “Ugly Aur Pagli” and “Dil Kabaddi.”
In 2010, Rohatgi ventured into theatre with Vandana Sajnani’s play “Fourplay.” In September 2013, she appeared in Life OK’s TV show “Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath,” portraying the supervillain Gong. The following year, she was part of a national anthem project directed by Rajeev Walia.
Rohatgi made her television debut in September 2014 with the Sony TV show “Humsafars.” In April 2015, she participated in the dance reality show “Nach Baliye 7” with her fiancé Sangram Singh. In February 2022, Rohatgi returned to the entertainment industry by participating in the OTT reality show “Lock Upp.”
