Career

Nivetha began her acting journey with the Tamil film “Oru Naal Koothu” in 2016, playing the role of an IT professional opposite Dinesh. Critics praised her performance, with Hindustan Times calling it “engaging” and Times of India noting her impressive debut.

In 2017, she appeared in two films. First, she starred in “Podhuvaga Emmanasu Thangam” opposite Udhayanidhi Stalin. However, her character received criticism for being poorly etched. Then, she made her Telugu debut with “Mental Madhilo,” where her portrayal of a straightforward girl earned acclaim, with Firstpost calling her performance one of the best of the year.

The year 2018 saw Nivetha in two releases. In “Tik Tik Tik,” she portrayed an army official alongside Jayam Ravi, contributing positively to the film. She then appeared as a Sub-Inspector opposite Vijay Antony in “Thimiru Pudichavan,” where she received praise for her portrayal of the Madras slang and her comedic timing.

In 2019, Nivetha had three releases. She portrayed a corporate executive in “Chitralahari,” which was commercially successful. Critics praised her performance, with Deccan Chronicle noting her good performance among the female leads and Times of India praising her portrayal of a stone-cold corporate honcho.

She also appeared in the Tamil film “Sangathamizhan” starring Vijay Sethupathi, which received mixed reviews from critics. In 2020, Nivetha was part of the Telugu film “Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo.”

In 2021, she appeared in the Telugu film “Red” directed by Kishore Tirumala, co-starring Ram Pothineni, Malvika Sharma, and Amritha Aiyer. She also starred in another Telugu film alongside Vishwak Sen. Later in the same year, she appeared in a Tamil film alongside Prabhudeva titled “Pon Manickavel.”
