Career

Shetty embarked on her career in modeling, achieving notable success by winning the Miss Mangalore beauty pageant in 2014 and securing the runner-up position in Miss South India 2015.

Following her accolades in the pageant circuit, Shetty transitioned into acting. She made her debut in the Kannada film industry with a role in Mungaru Male 2, directed by Shashank. Despite mixed reviews for the film, Shetty’s performance received praise from critics, with Shyam Prasad S of Bangalore Mirror acknowledging her promising start.

Her foray into Telugu cinema came with the Puri Jagannadh-directed film Mehbooba in 2018. Although initially unfamiliar with the Telugu language, Shetty dedicated herself to learning it for the role. However, the film received lukewarm reception, with critics feeling that it didn’t fully utilize Shetty’s potential.

Taking a hiatus from acting, Shetty invested six months in honing her craft at the New York Film Academy. In 2021, she returned to the screen with two Telugu films. In Gully Rowdy, she played a lead role, while also appearing in a smaller role in Most Eligible Bachelor.

In 2022, Shetty starred in DJ Tillu, earning acclaim for her performance. Critics praised her portrayal of a complex character in the film.

In addition to her film projects, Shetty made an appearance in the music video “Chocolate Girl” by Chandan Shetty in 2017, showcasing her versatility beyond the silver screen.
